村上隆率いる有限会社カイカイキキ（本社：東京都港区、代表者：村上隆）は、2023年7月1日付で、クラウドワークスを共同創業し取締役CFOとして上場を主導した、佐々木翔平がCOOに就任したことをお知らせいたします。
Kaikai Kiki Announces the Appointment of COO
Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / Representative: Takashi Murakami), led by Takashi Murakami, announces that Shohei Sasaki, who co-founded CrowdWorks and led its IPO as its Director and CFO, has been appointed COO, effective July 1, 2023.
■COO就任の背景
カイカイキキは2001年の会社設立以降、村上隆の作品制作およびアーティストのマネジメントを行ってきました。現在では元麻布の本社に加え、埼玉県三芳町に制作スタジオ、中野ブロードウェイにはカフェとギャラリー、アニメーションスタジオを構えています。ニューヨーク・シアトルにもオフィスがあり、国内外で総勢250名を超えるスタッフを抱えるグローバルな組織となっています。
カイカイキキの事業・組織規模の拡大に伴い、今後の事業展開をより加速していくため、経営基盤をより強固なものにしていく必要性が高まってきております。そのような背景の中、クラウドワークスをはじめとするスタートアップで多くの経営経験を積んできた佐々木翔平をCOOとして選任いたしました。
■佐々木翔平プロフィール
2007年、株式会社アエリア（東証スタンダード上場）に入社、経理財務業務および経営企画として様々な投資・買収案件のソーシングからクロージング・PMIを担当しました。2011年11月には株式会社クラウドワークス（東証グロース上場）を共同創業し取締役CFOとして上場を主導。その後の組織・事業の拡大において経営メンバーとして活躍してきました。その後はAI系のスタートアップをはじめ、複数の企業で役員をつとめるなど、経営基盤構築や事業成長に尽力。

カイカイキキCOO（最高執行責任者）に、佐々木翔平様が就任して頂くことになりました。
前職、株式会社クラウドワークスのCFOとしての輝かしいキャリアをお持ちの彼に、去年の12月頃からカオスなカイカイキキ内のドタバタの回収の実務を手伝って頂き、気難しい僕や、その僕の運営するトリッキーな会社のあれこれに親切に対応してくださり、その優しいお人柄と、実務の切れ味の良さに「こんな人がうちに入って来てくださるといいなぁ」と思っていたら、なんとも有難いことにCOOになって頂けるというご縁を頂きました。
2022年よりNFTアートやポータブルゲーム機の開発に着手し、アートの可能領域の拡張を目指している今、彼に来て頂くことで達成可能な新規のプロジェクトがどんどん具現化して行き、社会に大きなインパクトを起こし得ると思えて、凄く晴々とした気持ちです。

Background of COO Appointment
Since its establishment in 2001, Kaikai Kiki has been producing works by Takashi Murakami and managing artists. Today, in addition to its headquarters in Motoazabu, Kaikai Kiki has a production studio in Miyoshi, Saitama, a cafe and galleries in Nakano Broadway in Tokyo, and an animation studio. The company also has offices in New York and Seattle, making it a global organization with a total staff of over 250 people in Japan and abroad.
With the expansion of Kaikai Kiki’s business and organizational scale, there has been a growing need to strengthen its management base in order to further accelerate its future business development.
Against this backdrop, the company appoints as its COO Shohei Sasaki, who has gained a great deal of management experience at CrowdWorks and other startups.
Shohei Sasaki Profile
Shohei Sasaki joined Aeria Inc. (TSE Standard Listing) in 2007, where he was in charge of sourcing, closing, and PMI of various investment and acquisition projects as an accountant, financial manager, and corporate planner. In 2011, he co-founded CrowdWorks, Inc. (TSE Growth Listing), where he led the company’s IPO as CFO and was an active management member in the company’s subsequent organizational and business expansions.
Since then, he has served as a board member of several companies, including AI startups, and has devoted himself to building management foundations and business growth.
Comment from Takashi Murakami
I am artist Takashi Murakami, also the president of Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. Today, I would like to announce a new appointment that will revolutionize the foundation of Kaikai Kiki.
Mr. Shohei Sasaki will assume the position of COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Kaikai Kiki.
He has a brilliant career as CFO of CrowdWorks, Inc. and has been helping me bring order to the chaos that is Kaikai Kiki since December of last year. He has been graciously assisting me, with a disagreeable temperament, and the tricky company I manage, and his kind personality and sharpness in business operations made me wish someone like him would join our company. Thankfully, I was given the opportunity to welcome him as our COO.
Now that we are aiming to expand the potential field of art, having started the development of NFT art and portable gaming device in 2022, I feel so pleased and excited to think that Mr. Sasaki will be able to help us realize new, achievable projects that could have a great impact on society.
